Who we are
This website is run by No Stress Services Ltd, trading as No Stress Window Cleaning. We are the “controller” of the personal information described here, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for looking after it under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email info@nostresswindowcleaning.co.uk or call 07561 424859.
What information we collect
- When you use our quote or contact forms: your name, phone number, email address, address or postcode, the service you’re interested in and anything you write in your message.
- When you become a customer: your name, address, contact details, details of the cleans we carry out (such as how often we visit and any access notes), and records of invoices and payments.
- When you call, text or email us: your contact details and what you tell us.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. This is a step you’ve asked us to take before entering into a contract with us.
- To provide our service, arrange visits and send invoices. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
- To keep business and accounting records and meet our tax obligations. This is a legal obligation.
- To deal with complaints, re-cleans, unpaid bills and to protect our business. This is in our legitimate interests in running the business properly.
We do not sell your information, and we will not use it to send you marketing unless you have agreed to that. You can change your mind at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and processes the messages you send through our forms.
- Google Workspace, which we use for our business email.
- GoCardless, if you choose to pay by Direct Debit, and our bank, if you pay by bank transfer. GoCardless handles your bank details under its own privacy notice.
- A debt collection agency, only if a bill remains unpaid as set out in our terms & conditions.
We may also share information if the law requires us to. Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they are required to protect it with safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- If you ask for a quote but don’t become a customer, we delete your enquiry within 12 months.
- If you are a customer, we keep your records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as needed for tax and accounting purposes.
Cookies
This website does not use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and it doesn’t set cookies of its own. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running securely. If you follow a link to another site, such as Facebook, Google or GoCardless, that site’s own cookie and privacy policies apply.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss or misuse. This website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and only people who need your details to provide our service can see them.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your information;
- ask for your information in a format you can take to another provider (data portability).
Some of these rights depend on the reason we hold your information. For example, we may need to keep invoice records for tax purposes. To use any of these rights, email info@nostresswindowcleaning.co.uk or call 07561 424859. We’ll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
